It was 4:55 in the morning here in Dubai. My alarm had gone off. I’ve got my earphone beside me, which I had prepared the night before. I have composed myself to this much-awaited day but I can’t seem to get rid of the dread I had been feeling since last night.

I checked my phone, connected my earphone and immediately accessed my WAVO account. Alas, Game of Thrones Season 8, Episode 3 is up. I went outside our room to join the other girls who are as much excited as I am to witness the Epic Battle Scene.

I didn’t hope for any of my favorite characters to live because I know how the writers can write off characters any moment they want. I basically believed only a quarter of the characters will survive the battle.

That first few minutes of the film was full of tension. I was so tensed that my friends could hear all my deep sighs because I just couldn’t contain the anxiety build up. I was literally on the edge of my seat the whole time.

I must say this episode exceeded all my expectations. I’m in awe of the actors. The production is astounding. The battle looked eerily real that it gave me goosebumps. It was an emotional rollercoaster and up until now (at 4 PM), I still can’t get over it. I just loved all of it. If there’s movie orgasm, this just gave me plenty. This deserves to be viewed on a giant screen! Sadly, I only used my phone. There was so much to see that I do not know where to focus my eyes. I’m pretty sure I’ve missed many details which is why I might watch it again, maybe tonight.

The highs and lows of the film should be commended. I don’t want to spoil the experience for those of you who haven’t watched it yet, but let me tell you, I cried at the saddest and happiest scenes. There was no exaggeration. All the scenes were heartfelt and full of passion. There were moments when I just wanted to yell with joy and cry at the same time. It was also about redemption, characters discovering their strength and purpose, finding the motivation to be brave for a loved one, having the will to fight amidst doubts.

This will go down as the most epic battle in TV history. I devoured all of the scenes. I do not even want to blink fearing I might miss an important detail. Urrrghhhh! Who could even top this series, seriously?
